Creating and sticking to a budget can be very difficult.  That is why it is important to create a budget plan that is simple and easy for you to stick to.  This will help you learn how to save money and eventually you will be very good at budgeting.

One way to stick to a budget is to pay for everything in cash.  This has a way of making us realize how much money we are spending.  At the beginning of the month you should take out a certain amount of cash, like 50 bucks.  Now this is your fun money for the month.  When this money has run out, you can not go get more until the start of the next month.  The hard part is not going to get more money.  At times it can be very tempting to just whip out your card and get what you want.

Tell someone about your budget. Sticking to a budget can be very difficult, much like a diet it is easier to stick to it if the people around you know that you are on a budget.  It becomes a pride thing.  You don’t want your friends and family to perceive you as weak and not able to stick to something that you imposed on yourself.
